DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) adds an extra layer of security to your domain's DNS. To set it up in cPanel, go to the "Domains" section and click on "Zone Editor". Select the domain you want to secure and look for the "DNSSEC" option. Follow the prompts to generate and manage your DNSSEC keys.
Once you've set up DNSSEC in cPanel, remember to also update your domain registrar. This involves adding the DS (Delegation Signer) record you get from cPanel to your registrar's settings.
Not all domain extensions (TLDs) offer support for DNSSEC, so speak to your registrar to confirm compatibility before making any changes.
Good to Know: DNSSEC safeguards users from attacks by checking if the server's record matches the official record. If they're the same, the user knows it's safe. This security method uses special digital signatures based on key codes.
